To order a custom item it’s best to contact Sam before you order to discuss the item you want.
You can choose one of our exisiting products (Glasses Brooch, Scarf Pin etc) then give us your desired shape to create a cutting file from. Next step is to choose a colour from our range to use. We don’t custom paint, but we have a huge variety of Judy’s painted boards that we can show you to find one you love.
NB: We don’t custom make wall clocks or metal work.
While we make one, why not get another for your best friend?
Judy has hand-painted colourful boards ready to make your pin. It will be cut from these boards
so the exact colour swirls & brush strokes on your Pin will be unknown until you open your parcel.
That’s what makes them so unique & amazing.

Copyright is very important to us, so we need to make sure the silhouette you send us is able to be used.

We hold no responsibility if you impinge on someone else’s copyright.

Your Scarf Pin will be approx 7x7cm, but apart from that, your options are endless. We love animals, but you can
find any silhouette or shape that love and we can make it. Along with the laser cut shape, you get 2 ‘pins’.
One wooden pin to use with knit scarves & one metal pin for finer fabrics.
TIPS for choosing your silhouette
Choose a silhouette that is one unit. We will add connectors to areas if there are gaps
but in our experience, they work better if you choose a solid silhouette from the start.
Remember there needs to be room for the hole!!
We will add the cutout during production but keep in mind there needs to be space for it!
Look for silhouettes that don’t have too many bits poking out.
We find the more simple the silhouette, the better the result 🙂
Will we use the silhouette in our main range in the future?? We might! Inspire us with your
amazing shapes & we might add it into the range. You will be the first and have a unique one-off Pin, but if
we love it too much we might add it into our range in the future.

Here are a few Frequently Asked Questions.
How are they made? Watch our videos here and see the magic happen. Judy paints (she’s the creative genius behind the whole operation). Ric laser cuts. We have 2 amazing staff who pack orders, laser cut & so much more.
Where are we located? We live and work in the beautiful country town of Beechworth in Victoria’s North East. Great part of the world!
Where are the products made? We make everything in Beechworth. It’s a warehouse building we have on our property that we have used for 30 years as a pottery studio (our past career) and now it’s where our laser cutters are, the painting & packing area
What are they made from? We use ply, MDF, acrylic, acrylic paint, E6000 glue creativity and a lot of love. We also use a series of beautiful wood veneer boards for the wood items. These include Tassie Oak, Myrtle and more.
What size are items? We try to add all the exact sizing for each product, but sometimes we are human and forget to add it. You are always welcome to email us for an exact size of an item, but generally we keep the products about the same size. Here’s a guide:
- Scarf Pins / Hair Pins – approx. 9-10cm diameter
- Glasses Brooches – approx. 6cm diameter
- Scarf Rings / Sarong Buckles – approx. 9-10cm diameter
- Serviette Rings - 8cm diameter
- Buttons - approx. 5-6cm diameter
Sizing may vary if Judy feels like an item feels nicer slightly smaller or larger. She has a good eye for this & makes lots of prototypes to get each shape feeling ‘right’. If you have a specific item you want an exact size please email us scarfpinsandrings@gmail.com

Shipping: We like to keep things simple. We have a flat fee of $9.95 for almost everything on the website. Some super heavy metal items might be more, but it’s rare. Add items to cart & you will see the shipping fee that applies to the products you’ve chosen. We use Australia Post. We ship to PO Boxes!
